I am not sure what it means when a certain thing continues to pop up in your life. Is it a sign or a message or from someone? Recently butterflies have invaded my life. Yes, butterflies! I have never been a huge fan of them when decorating but this year they are flitting about everywhere. Here are some examples:
I’m pretty sure this was once an ashtray!
I love this large asian screen print, the colors are amazing together!
No words on this Christian Lacroise pillow from Designers Guild!
Lastly this beautiful metal cancer survivor butterfly made specifically for the special person holding it. She has beaten it twice! Local Greenville, SC artist, Yuri Tsuzuki, creates these beautiful butterflies as symbols of the possibility of victory over this terrible disease.
“And butterflies are free to fly, fly away!”

Last year at the Atlanta Market I saw this incredible wallpaper in the Worlds Away showroom. My entire house is painted white but I was looking for something to spice up the foyer. I knew right away I wanted this look…
Wallpaper can be a big investment and commitment and since I was afraid I wouldn’t like it forever I decided to call my friend, Melanie, who does all types of creative wall paintings and faux finishes. She mocked up a sample and I loved how it was a little less bold…
Melanie and her daughter knocked it out in a day and a half. I couldn’t be more thrilled! And the best part is, if I ever grow tired of it I can easily paint over it. Here is my foyer today…
If you would like to learn more or connect with Melanie just give us a call or stop on by the studio.
